For the third year, the Paul K. Young Memorial show also hosted the Big Rig Build Off, pitting truck customizers from throughout North America in a competition to see who could build the most impressive truck, limited only by the builder’s imagination.
The Big Rig Build-Off featured truck customizers from as far away as Canada and California. Challenging for the top trophy and bragging rights were: Jeff Botelho, Custom Image Motors, Los Banos, Calif.; Phil Langevin, Valley Custom Trucks, Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada; Clint Moore, Kansas City Peterbilt, Kansas City, Mo.; Steve Van Zytveld, Ridin’ High Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Jim Raines, S&J Truck Sales, Forth Wayne, Ind.
Based on voting by show attendees, Jim Raines of S&J Truck Sales took the top honors. Watch for full coverage in the June issue of RoadStar magazine.
